Empowering End-Users Against PKI Vulnerabilities

Overview

We invite you to participate in a long-term study designed to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of the MobyPhish browser extension. This study is open to all participants who have completed the MobyPhish short-term study. The long-term study will span three months and involve 10 weekly experiments conducted remotely on your personal devices. Each experiment will consist of tasks similar to those from the initial in-person experiment and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Participation Details

We invite you to participate in our research study aimed at enhancing web security and protecting against phishing attacks. Here’s how you can get involved:

Installation and Use

Participants will need to install the MobyPhish extension on their personal devices. The extension is designed to enhance your online security by detecting and preventing phishing and spoofing attacks during designated tasks.

Weekly Experiments

Over the course of three months, you will complete 10 weekly tasks assigned by us. Each task will take around 10 minutes and will involve activities aimed at assessing your ability to identify and avoid phishing threats.

Daily Browsing

You are encouraged to use the MobyPhish extension during your regular browsing activities to protect websites of your choice. The extension will not conduct random tests during your personal browsing sessions, ensuring your regular activities remain uninterrupted.

Join Us

Your participation will contribute valuable insights into the long-term benefits and usability of the MobyPhish extension. We aim to understand how continuous use and systematic testing can improve users' ability to detect phishing attempts and their overall satisfaction with the extension.
